A competitive session on Effective Sales & Marketing Strategies for New Ventures was conducted on 18th February 2026 at Pillai HOC Institute of Management Studies & Research under the aegis of the Institutional Innovation Council. The offline activity engaged 113 postgraduate students in an experiential, group-based learning format focused on developing innovative business ideas and practical marketing plans.
Participants worked in teams to design sales and marketing strategies for their proposed ventures, covering aspects such as target market identification, value proposition, promotional techniques, pricing strategies, and sales approaches. The session encouraged creativity, teamwork, and application of theoretical marketing concepts to real-world business scenarios.
The activity successfully enhanced students’ understanding of sales and marketing in startup success, strengthened their entrepreneurial thinking, and provided practical exposure to collaborative planning and presentation skills—further reinforcing innovation and startup culture promoted through IIC initiatives.
