As a part of MMS two years programme, a 5 Days Industrial Tour was organized from 3rd – 8th February, 2013. The objective of the tour was to visit different industries and understand the functions and best practices followed in those organizations.
The tour also focused in assisting students to gain first hand information regarding functioning of the the industry which present the students with an opportunity to plan, organize and engage in active learning experience. The main objective of this visit was to bridge the gap between the theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
The notion of Industrial Visit has been incorporated into the academic practices of the institute to bestow practical exposure of what students have learned during their classroom teachings and keeping in mind the culture and philosophy of PHiMSR.
The visit to Volvo and Mother Dairy in Bangalore, provided an opportunity to students, to meet company officials and staff at common place and gather all possible information regarding the functioning of their organization.
